The Role:

As the Traffic Solutions Sales Engineer, you will be a key member of the Sales Engineering group within the North American sales team. You’ll serve as an expert on the NoTraffic AI Mobility Platform, educating traffic consulting firms on how our solutions address their clients' challenges. By leveraging your industry knowledge and relationships, you’ll generate new opportunities and grow the sales funnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with traffic consulting firms to promote NoTraffic’s solutions.
  • Identify and develop opportunities through sales presentations, lunch-and-learns, and conferences to position our platform as a solution for their clients’ challenges.
  • Drive a significant number of new opportunities into the sales funnel, with a focus on converting a meaningful portion into sales.
  • Collaborate with consultants to specify NoTraffic in project designs.
  • Track and pursue major RFP and Grant opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on the NoTraffic AI Mobility Platform, providing technical and strategic insights to traffic consultants and their clients.

About You:

  • Experience: 6+ years working with leading traffic consulting firms, with expertise in signal timing optimization, traffic signal design, and ITS. Working directly for transportation agencies (e.g., city or state Departments of Transportation) is a plus.
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred; Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is a plus.
  • Relationships: Existing connections with ITS consultants and consultancies, and the ability to identify joint opportunities for success.
  • Skills: Proven ability to navigate large, multi-layered consulting firms, build relationships, and influence decision-makers. Strong communication, presentation, and project management abilities.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, able to operate with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
