Our client is a Series B funded EV charging firm, looking for a self-motivated, results-driven sales professional to join a leading company in the EV charging industry. The company offers cutting-edge charging solutions and is focused on expanding infrastructure across the US. As the Director of Sales, you will take a "hunter" approach, acting as an individual contributor responsible for generating new business and driving revenue. You’ll directly engage with enterprise clients, municipalities, and commercial real estate developers to scale the company’s market presence and growth.  

  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Hunter Sales Role: Proactively identify, target, and acquire new clients in need of EV charging infrastructure, taking ownership of the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closing.  
  • Revenue Generation: Independently develop strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on generating new revenue streams.  
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build and manage a comprehensive sales pipeline, ensuring consistent outreach, engagement, and conversion of prospects into clients.  
  • Market Expansion: Use your deep knowledge of the EV charging market to uncover new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.  
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and cultivate relationships with key industry stakeholders, including automotive companies, utilities, and real estate developers, to expand the company’s network.  
  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Secure new business while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure ongoing success and satisfaction.  
  • Sales Strategy Collaboration: Work with company leadership to shape sales strategies, bringing your insights from the field to help refine the company’s market approach.  

  

Qualifications:  

  • Experience in Sales: Minimum of 7 years in sales, with at least 5 years in the EV charging sector.  
  • Proven Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in a "hunter" role, driving new business and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.  
  • Knowledge of EV Charging: Deep understanding of the EV charging landscape, including industry trends and regulatory frameworks.  
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated with a proven ability to work independently, generating your own leads and managing the full sales cycle.  
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain high-level relationships with enterprise clients and partners.  
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.  
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).  

  

Experience:  

  • 7+ years in a senior sales role, with a focus on revenue growth and client acquisition.  
  • 5+ years specifically in the EV charging sector, with a clear understanding of market demands.  
  • B2B Sales: Proven experience working with enterprise clients and large-scale commercial projects.  
  • Strategic Leadership: Experience developing sales strategies and leading market expansion efforts.
