ERP Implementation Manager

Job Overview:

Stratfield is seeking an ERP Implementation Manager to join our client. A successful candidate will bring strong expertise in ERP systems, particularly within the food or hospitality sector, and will be tasked with overseeing the entire implementation process to ensure alignment with operational objectives and overall business strategy.

This is a 12 month contract position that will be here in Atlanta. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, document, and refine detailed business requirements for ERP modules.
• Convert business requirements into clear and actionable user stories for the development team.
• Develop comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria for each module or feature, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are well understood.
• Create a strategic roadmap, outlining key phases and milestones for ERP system rollout.
• Act as the central point of communication between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring information flows smoothly and consistently.
• Manage expectations by providing regular updates on feature progress, timelines, and any changes to priorities or schedules.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of ERP system implementation for restaurants, ensuring the solution is tailored to both business and operational needs.
• Coordinate with ERP vendors and service providers to ensure a seamless system integration process.
• Ensure that the system configuration is optimized for the specific requirements of the restaurant and business.
• Tailor the ERP system to restaurant-specific needs, ensuring it supports key areas like POS integration and supply chain management.
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting any issues and resolving them prior to system go-live.
• Work closely with the Learning and Development (L&D) team to provide necessary details for creating training materials for operators.
• Regularly provide status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, milestones, and potential risks.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure that the most impactful features and user needs are addressed promptly.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience implementing ERP systems, ideally within the food or hospitality industries.
• Strong knowledge of operations and workflows, including POS systems, inventory management, and HR modules.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner, with a background in managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and working in an agile environment.
• Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, especially in software development and IT environments.
• Extensive experience leading complex implementation projects from discovery through post-launch, including managing timelines and resource allocation.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance within the food industry, such as tax laws, labor regulations, and food safety standards.
• Familiarity with leading ERP solutions, including Oracle NetSuite.
• Hands-on experience with data migration, system configuration, and integrating third-party applications such as accounting, HR, and POS systems.
• Ability to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Proven skill in translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder expectations and aligning technical and business teams effectively.
• Bachelors Degree.
