Recently graduated Engineer to work as a junior electrical engineer in the traction power sector of the rail industry.

​

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

​

•  Will be supported by an engineering mentor and be provided required training
•  will be supporting / assisting the production and development of the TPSS Contract Engineering Design deliverables / submittals together with all other associated documentation, calculations, drawings for assigned projects and support ongoing projects
•  in performing the role, will be required to work closely with Senior Project Engineer(s) and Technical Manager(s) to ensure an integrated engineering solution is presented to the Customer. This will extend to working and interfacing with our external approved suppliers and or other third parties as appropriate to produce a homogeneous solution
•  will be expected to learn and ensure adherence at all times to Business Management Systems (BMS), Safety working policies, standards, procedures, and standard practices

TASKS

​

•  assist the Engineering Department personnel to assure proper execution of the design, compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
•  Provide conceptional solutions, technical support, analysis of technical problems, technical clarifications in collaboration with the manufacturing, the installation, the project engineering team
•  Planning and controlling of one's own engineering work packages in view of date, cost and quality aspects
•  Provide drafting support to engineers on submittals, and as-built drawings
•  includes the design of new components, modification of drawings, and incorporate field or customer-based changes
•  Creating and presenting designs for internal and external design reviews
•  Accept a personal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissions
